Statement
The College of Medicine of the University of Arkansas
for Medical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for
physicians.
Designation of Credit
The UAMS College of Medicine designates this
educational activity for a maximum of [number of credits]
AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s) ™.
Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity.
Disclosure Policy
It
is the policy of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)
College of Medicine to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and
scientific rigor in all sponsored or jointly sponsored educational
activities. Any individual who is in a position to control the content of
the educational activity including course or activity directors, planning
committee members, staff, teachers, or authors of CME, must disclose all
relevant financial relationships and the nature thereof that they or any
member of their family members have with any commercial interest(s).
In addition 1 contact hour is awarded to nurses for each activity completed and mailed to the UAMS Rural Hospital Program.
This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 1 hour of prescribed credit hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Term of approval is for one year from the beginning distribution date of 07/01/02, with the option to request yearly renewal.
All continuing education programs were reviewed 12/01/04.
This educational activity has been approved by the Arkansas Tripartite Committee on Continuing Pharmacy Education for one hour of correspondence (NOT live) CPE credit if the entire session is viewed and the post test taken and passed. A maximum of 18 of the 30 hours of CPE required every two years may be taken in correspondence continuing education activities for pharmacists. This individual activity may only be claimed for credit once.
